Comments about Light Saver Water Activated Strobe Light:
I'm preparing for a bluewater trip to New York and bought this light to test. Sadly, it failed. I suspect it's the batteries that have expired...something that should have been tested before the product left the warehouse.

Please note, I didn't buy this for emergency use.
The unit I received didn't work. My volt meter indicated almost dead batteries. No problem, batteries go bad over time. These things happen. No harm, no foul. Went to buy new batteries, light worked great. It shuts off automatically after 20 seconds when the contacts are no longer tripped. Tried it the next day, it wouldn't work. Called West Marine, they are sending me a new one free of charge.

Comments about Light Saver Water Activated Strobe Light:
Nice light for clipping on inflatable harness for night time sailing. Very small, easily fits inside inflatable harness without adding any bulk. LED strobe is bright (can see from a few hundred yards away). Light could be brighter, but then the device would be larger and more expensive.
